SIPS Celebrates Guru Nanak’s Birth Anniversary

Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib, commemorated Guru Nanak Dev’s 550 Birth Anniversary with great enthusiasm and fervour. The festive event was presided over by the Vice Chairperson S. Amarjit Singh, Director Mrs. Satvinder Saini and Principal Mr. Ram Prakash Sharma.
A special assembly was organised in the school premises in which students performed kirtan and the moolmantar. A spectacular Prabhat Pheri was taken out which created the religious vibes around the campus. The teachings of Guru Nanak namely kirat karo, naam japo and vand chako were highlighted through an elaborative speech.
An inter-house shabad recitation competition was also held on the occasion wherein Peace house bagged the third position, Joy House stood second and Wisdom House won the competition with a captivating performance.
The Chairman Dr. Kamal Saini IGP (Retd.) and Director Mrs. Satvinder Saini extended their heartiest congratulations to the staff and the students on the eve of Gurupurab. During his address, the Principal encouraged everyone to imbibe the teachings sermonized by Guru Nanak; Believe in Supreme God, Respect women and always remember that sharing is true living. Guru Ka Langar was also offered on the occasion.
