SIPS CELEBRATES TEACHERS’ DAY
The birth anniversary of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan popularly known as the Teachers’ Day was celebrated with immense joy at Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib. An array of cultural amalgamation was prepared to pay tribute to the teaching faculty who are beacon of light and have the power to mould and shape the future of students.
The programme commenced with lighting of lamp by the Vice Chairman Mr. Amarjit Singh, the Director Mrs. Satvinder Saini, Dean Academics Mrs. Rama Jamwal, the Vice Principal Mr. Ram Prakash Sharma and the Head Mistress Mrs. Shweta Bakshi. Extending heartiest welcome to the dignitaries Sahil Saroch and Dushyant of class 12th paid their gratitude to all the teachers for being a facilitator in every challenging moment. The school choir presented a melodious song ‘We Love You Teachers’ aptly suiting the occasion. Sarabjeet Kour of class 11th elucidated the vitality of the day through her impressive speech. Numerous fun games including musical chair, hand power, dance battle, three leg race, balloon bursting etc. were arranged for the faculty members to make the day memorable. A classical dance performance by the students invigorating the spirit of traditional roots left everyone spellbound. The Bollywood dance portraying the journey from 1960’s to the present times presented by the senior students won everyone’s heart. The programme culminated with the cake cutting ceremony by the management and the staff.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean Academics, Mrs. Rama Jamwal fondly urged the students to follow the footsteps of their teachers and render their selfless services for nation building besides being a good citizen. She also congratulated and appreciated the students for preparing such a wonderful show to acknowledge the commitment of their role models. The Chairman, Dr. Kamal Saini IGP (Retd.) and the Director, Mrs. Satvinder Saini extended their warmest greetings to the staff on the occasion and lauded their constant endeavour in bringing Stephens International Public School to such a great height.
