Stephens International Public School Celebrates Janamashtami with Grandeur

Janamashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated with fervour and gaiety at Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib. A special programme was organised to invoke the blessings of the Lord wherein Mr. Amarjit Singh, the Vice Chairman, Mrs. Satvinder Saini, the Director, Mrs. Rama Jamwal, Dean Academics and Mr. Ram Prakash Sharma, the Vice Principal graced the occasion.
The programme commenced with the offering of the pious Chhappan Bhog to the idols of Lord Krishna and Radha Ji by all the dignitaries which created an aura of serenity and devotion in the school campus. A spectacular tableau depicting the life of the Lord was presented by the tiny tots of the primary wing. Vedanshi of class Nursery created a euphoric moment by singing the bhajan “Sawali surat pe Mohan”. Later the divine friendship between Lord Krishna and Sudama was enacted emphatically by the senior students. A foot tapping dance performance by senior girls left everyone spellbound. An inter-house matki race for the senior girls was held and Sakshi of Joy House stood first, Prerna of Joy house stood second and Samiksha representing Courage House bagged the third position. Simultaneously the boys of classes IX to XII participated in the inter-house kite flying competition and Courage House claimed the victory whereas Peace House and Joy House clinched the second and the third position respectively.
