Stephens International Public School celebrated Baisakhi with complete zeal and fervour. Starting from thanking the God and a positive thought to the theme based activities. The day was full of joyous learning for the children. The school students recited Shabads taking everyone into the world of devotion and spirituality. Students presented a shining example of discipline and perseverance. This was followed by speeches by the students on the historical importance of Baisakhi Day which is the beginning of harvesting season symbolizing prosperity of Punjab. The students were very participative and indeed happy. The staff and the students were dressed tastefully for the occasion. The students of the school presented a colourful cultural program highlighting the importance of the day. The students carried home the Baisakhi craft that they had created in the school. The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the children of their rich culture and heritage.
The Principal, Manoj Kr. Agnihotri explained to the students the importance of the day. He explained how the tenth Guru of Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh Ji created Khalsa Panth at Shri Anandpur Sahib to fight injustice and to protect the weaker sections from the atrocities of the tyrant rulers. The Director, Satvinder Saini motivated the students to follow the path of truth and moral values. The festive spirit achieved its greatest height with the Bhangra performance when students performed it in a synchronized steps in colourful attire which enthralled everybody. The programme was meticulously performed under the supervision of Headmistress Ms. Inderjeet Kour.
