CBSE CLUSTER 18 KABADDI TOURNAMENT CULMINATES WITH GRANDEUR AT SIPS
It was a proud moment for Stephens International Public School to host the CBSE Cluster 18 Kabaddi Tournament for boys and girls, a four-day sporting extravaganza that brought together energy, excitement and exceptional talent from schools across Jammu and Kashmir as well as Punjab.
The event culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony, graced by Chief guests – Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, Hon’ble MLA from Suchetgarh and Guest of honour Ms. Kritika Khanna, India’s First Female Pararower. Trustee Adv Kunal Saini alongwith Principal Dr Manjari Sehgal, Vice Principal Ms Shweta Bakshi, Headmistress Ms Khushboo Shaminotra, Coordinators,staff and students were present on the occasion.
Adv Saini extended a warm welcome to all the guests. He also congratulated the achievers for their tremendous performance, nevertheless encouraging all the participants to carry on with the same grit and determination. The ceremony began on a traditional note with a soulful rendition of Durga Stuti, seeking blessings for courage and strength followed by melodious School Song, echoing the spirit and values of the institution.
In his address, Prof. Gharu Ram encouraged students to stay committed to fitness, discipline and teamwork. Ms. Kritika Khanna, with her remarkable journey as a para-athlete, inspired everyone with her words on resilience, courage and never giving up.
The highlight of the ceremony was the medal and memento distribution by the dignitaries where winners were cheered with thunderous applause. The girls of St Soldier Elite Convent School Jandiala won the U14 category whereas SIPS, the host school, became the winner in the boys category. The U17 boys category was claimed by SGH Public School Amritsar and St Soldier Elite Convent School Jandiala Guru clinched the girls trophy. SHS Public Sr Secondary School Ludhiana bagged U19 boys category. The ground resonated with celebration, pride, and unforgettable memories.
