INTER SCHOOL ENGLISH CLASSICAL DEBATE AND EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

SIPS Hosts Dr Aparna Oratory Odyssey
Dr Aparna Oratory Odyssey -A Dive into the Dynamics of Oratory Skills, The Inter-school English Classical Debate and Extempore Competition held at Stephens International Public School concluded with a celebration of eloquence and talent.
The event was graced by Sh Dilbag Singh Former Deputy General of Police J&K who emphasized the significance of effective communication skills in shaping future leaders.
The Chairman Dr Kamal Saini IGP ( Retd), Director Mrs Satvinder Saini, Trustee Adv Kunal Saini accompanied by Principal Dr Manjari Sehgal, Vice Principal Mrs Shweta Bakshi, Headmistress Ms Khushboo Shaminotra, Coordinators,teachers as well as students were present there. Esteemed judges for the competition were Dr Ritu Mangotra HOD Govt College for Women Parade,Dr Monika Malhotra HOD English Govt Degree College Akhnoor,Mr Karan Maini Assistant Professor Govt Degree College Jindrah ,Dr Jasleen Kour Assistant Professor University of Jammu,Geetanjali Multani HOD English Govt Degree College Paloura,and Mr Zain ul Abdeen Banday HOD Political Science Govt Degree College Bhaderwah who provided valuable insights and feedback throughout the competition.
The day's festivities were enwrapped with a spiritually uplifting Ganesh Vandana, followed by an engaging Dogri dance performance that captivated the audience with its vibrant depiction of regional traditions.
20 reputed CBSE schools of the region participated in the event. In recognition of their outstanding achievements, winners in both the debate and extempore categories were awarded cash prizes and trophies. In Classical debate, Shuchi Gupta and Divita Mahajan of Air Force School Jammu clinched the top notch and received a cash prize of Rs 8000 and a trophy, while second and third place winners were Samriti and Ishaan Pandey from Army Public School Samba and Army Public School Akhnoor who were awarded Rs 5000 and Rs 3000 respectively, along with their trophies. In Extempore , Aadwika Vashishth of Army Public School Nagrota procured the winning position and was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 3000 whereas Binwant Singh of International Daily Rising School and Harleen Kour of Carmel Convent stood second and third respectively winning Rs 2500 & Rs 2000 . Besides,an award of Rs 4500 was given to Pranvat Preet Kour of St. Peter's Hr Secondary School Karan Bagh Jammu who was adjudged the best speaker.
The competition showcased the exceptional skills of young orators and thinkers, and the awards served as a testament to their hard work and dedication. The event not only celebrated academic excellence but also fostered cultural appreciation and community spirit among the gathering.
