The celebration of Diwali, 'The festival of lights' came alive at Stephens International Public School Jammu .The whole school wore a festive look with Diyas adorning the corridors and the assembly stage in bright colours. The Rangoli done by students added the perfect setting to the festivity. Wisdom house stood 1st in the rangoli competition. The programme started with a skit depicting the important phases of Rama’s life. The skit had a mesmerizing impact on the audience. The traditional dance on Ganpati Vandana brought out the essence of the festival celebration of life and goodness. Students talked about the significance of the festival i.e. how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Aarti was performed by Ms. Satvinder Saini, Director SIPS, S. Amarjeet Singh, Vice Chairman, Mr. Manoj Kumar Agnihotri, Principal & Mr. Vikesh Sandhal, Vice Principal SIPS. Principal, during his address sensitized students about the ill-effects of crackers, also shared the guidelines on being safe while bursting them & with the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali. Mrs. Satvinder Saini Director SIPS appreciated the effort of staff and students and wished all of them a Happy and Prosperous Diwali.
