TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION

Teachers play a very vital role in shaping the future of the country. Their inimitable contribution in shaping the life of students is commendable and beyond any comparison. They are like a spring which nurtures young saplings into full grown plants or trees. Paying a perfect tribute to the teachers, Stephens International Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and fervor to thank the teaching faculty for the contributions they make to the lives of our students. A cultural extravaganza was organised by the students to appreciate the unwavering commitment of the teachers for the mission and vision of this school ‘with a difference’. The Chairman, Dr. Kamal Saini, IGP (Retd) & Vice Chairman Mr Amarjeet Singh extended their blessings to the teachers and students. Ms. Satvinder Saini, Director was the Chief Guest. Comparing the teachers with a potter, she said that the mud does not know what it will be shaped into but it’s the potter who decides the future of that mud. Ms. Satvinder Saini wished teachers to usher a new era in India with biggest contribution from SIPSians, the beginning of which has already done. The programme started with the singing of the ecstatic invocation song by the students in praise of Almighty laying stress on the saying ‘Guru Gobind Dono Kade, Kakhe Lagoo Payee; Balihari Guru Aapke, Jin Gobind Deyo Milayee’. To honour the people who have transformed their lives for the better, the students left no stone unturned to truly entertain them by means of various cultural items. They presented a medley of old melodies with new lyrics reflecting their love for the teachers. They expressed their gratitude through a speech in English and a poem in Hindi. Bhangra by Class XII students left everyone spellbound. Our students earned a loud applause from everyone for their splendid western band performance. The compeers reminded teachers of their school days when they as students were taught life skills by their mentors. The Principal, Mr. Manoj Agnihotri was mesmerised with the performance of the children and fondly said that the glory of the Guru cannot be written even if the whole earth is transformed into paper, big trees made into pens and the entire water in the seven oceans is transformed into writing ink. Dean Academics, Ms. Rama Jamwal congratulated the teachers for inspiring and nurturing the students to march in the right direction. She appreciated their constant endeavour in bringing Stephens International Public School to such a great height. Headmistress Ms. Inderjeet Kour enunciated and motivated the students and teachers to follow the footsteps of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan who had devoted his life to the selfless service to humanity. Teachers were honored with Appreciation Awards by the management.
